Salford LGBT Network

We are a group of LGBT people who have come together to try and support and make a difference to the quality of life for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in Salford.
We also exist to highlight LGBT needs and issues to organisations who provide services in the city. We hold monthly meetings to address specific issues, as well as organising awareness raising events throughout the year. We also provide opportunities for members to meet together in a relaxed social environment to encourage a sense of community identity and reduce isolation.

We always welcome new members to the group. So, if you live, work or study in Salford and would like to meet other LGBT people, please feel free to come along to one of our meetings which are advertised on our website: www.salfordlgbt.net

Alternatively, contact Lisa Buklovskis on 07947 909339 or lisalovskis@msn.com
We look forward to seeing you!

Salford Disability Forum

Salford Disability Forum is a charity which aims to ensure that disabled people in Salford are able to play a full and active part in the life of their community, able to take control of their lives and have an influence on others. We have held regular open forums on a variety of issues such as equalities, housing, and volunteering opportunities for example.

We currently have a Youth Disability Forum which provides a much needed voice for young people aged 16-25 years.

Other benefits of our services include signposting in terms of health, equipment, housing, benefits, and employment.

Josie Browne is the Chair of Salford Disability Forum and was part of the original steering group that formally constituted the Forum in 2003. Josie continues to work with the staff and other volunteers to develop the Forum and its activities. We are currently looking at extending the service we can offer to people, having made a bid to set up an advocacy service for anyone in Salford with a disability.
