Celebrate Volunteers' Week 2016 with our Volunteering Pop Up Market
Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
This year Volunteers' Week has been extended and it’s taking place from the 1-12 June 2016!
Volunteers’ Week is a great time to raise awareness of your organisation and recruit volunteers, it is also a good time to thank your existing volunteers and recognise the difference they have made to your organisation. The good news is Salford CVS can help you do both!
We will be running our popular pop up market from Thursday 9th June – Saturday 11th June 2016 from 10am – 3pm. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase what your organisation does and your volunteering opportunities. We are hoping to make it as fun and interactive as possible so the public can get involved – last year we had raffles, games and Barton Athletic even brought boxing gloves and an exercise bike!
The venue is Eccles Mall please let us know if you would like to take part in this exciting event and we will reserve a stall for you. Please contact Claire Roberts on 0161 787 7795 or email claire.roberts@salfordcvs.co.uk
Join in our 100 hours scheme?
It is an easy but effective way that you (and we) can thank your volunteers. The scheme aims to recognise the valuable contribution that volunteers are making in Salford by awarding a Certificate of Recognition signed by the Ceremonial Mayor of Salford for those who have given 100 hours to volunteering.
New for 2016, we are launching a 500 hour certificate of volunteering!
Why not check your records to see who qualifies for this extra special certificate.
All you need to do to join in the 100 or 500 hour scheme is complete a short form, there is no limit to the number of volunteers your organisation can register
