Basic Budgeting

Do you need to set a budget for your organisation but don’t know where to start? The course is for small organisations who need to set a budget for an organisation or project.

We will look at:

  • What is a budget and why organisations need them
  • Different types of budgets
  • Creating income & expenditure and cash flow budgets
  • Responsibilities for budgets
  • Reviewing and amending budgets

Aims: To provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to enable them to create budgets

Learning Outcomes: All participants at the end of the course will know

  • What a budget is and why organisations need to produce them
  • Who is responsible for the budget
  • How to prepare a budget

This training course is free for those who work or volunteer with voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that operate in Salford.

 

Priority will be given to VCSE sector organisations. Any places allocated to those outside of the sector will be charged at the usual rate. Please contact us for more information regarding charges
