We will be delivering online Adult Safeguarding training from July onwards as two online sessions delivered through Zoom. The course we deliver is a Basic Awareness Course and is in line with the competencies for Alerters/Level One as defined in the Salford All Agency Safeguarding Adults Competency Framework.
We have recently reviewed the course and it now includes an exercise on the combined Safeguarding Standards for the Community and Voluntary Sector.
The Course Aims
- To give workers in the voluntary and community sector a basic yet effective awareness of how to adequately safeguard and protect adults
Learning Outcomes
Learners will ...
- Increase their knowledge of adult safeguarding issues
- Increase their knowledge of 2014 Care Act
- Know how to make a referral
- Know how to access guidance, support and useful resources
This training course is free for those who work or volunteer with voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that operate in Salford.
Priority will be given to VCSE sector organisations. Any places allocated to those outside of the sector will be charged at the usual rate. Please contact us for more information regarding charges.
