VOCAL Children, Young People & Families Forum
Date: Thursday 28th January 2.00pm to 4.00pm
In Salford we want every child and young person to thrive during their childhood and into adulthood. We do know, however that if the level of care provided is not good enough, children can suffer abuse or neglect which has a long lasting impact on mental wellbeing into adulthood.
This session will focus on neglect, in particular how in Salford we are changing our language about neglect and strengthening the way we work with parents. It will provide you with the opportunity to find out more about the Thriving Families & Neglect Tool and how Salford is using a Trauma Informed Approach.
We will also hear from Foundation 92 which is an independent charity that became operational during Covid and provides a range of support to children, young people and families in Salford.
This session will take place via Zoom and a link will be sent out a few days prior to the meeting with instructions – to register please follow the link below
