VOCAL Equalities, Diversity & Inclusion Forum

Tuesday 25th May 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Theme: Older People: The impact of Covid-19 and planning for the future

Over the past year COVID-19 has disproportionally impacted on the lives of older people – many of whom have endured loneliness, social isolation and bereavement, where they have been separated from friends and family. As restrictions ease the question is how do we enable older people return to in-person activities safely and provide the necessary support so they can come back with confidence.

This forum meeting will focus on the impact of isolation, what organisations have been doing throughout the past year to support older people and plans to support older people to return to in-person activities.

The session will involve speakers from local Salford VCSEs, Q&A and a breakout session.

This meeting will take place via Zoom and a link will be sent out a few days before with instructions – to register please follow the link below
