Strategic and Business Planning for Tough Times

Registration is closed for this event

Our organisations face tough times – increased demand, declining budgets, competition and being expected to do more with less. This practical day looks at how organisations can plan and think strategically and plan ahead in tough and fast changing times.

Aims

1. To introduce a process whereby organisations can develop useful strategies in tough times.

2. To develop skills in strategic thinking and planning for strategic change in voluntary organisations including:

  • Developing a more sustainable and diverse business model
  • Building a relevant and credible funding strategy

3. To introduce a range of practical business planning techniques.

Course Tutor:

Alan Lawrie – an independent consultant and author who specialises in strategy and organisational development for voluntary organisations.  He is the author of five books on different aspects of managing voluntary organisations including the best selling,  The Complete Guide to Strategic and Business Planning.

Delegates will be required to have taken a Covid-19 rapid lateral flow test up to 24 hours before attending the course. Email or text confirmation of a negative test result will need to be presented on arrival.
