Salford Women’s Commission Event
The pandemic has been a huge challenge for everyone, but for women who live and work in Salford it has brought some very specific issues to the fore.
Cllr Sharmina August - Lead Member for Inclusive Economy, Anti-poverty and Equalities is establishing a Salford Women’s Commission. This commission will run for 12 months and explore key issues affecting women and girls in Salford and identify ways in which these can be addressed in partnership.
The Commission would seek to provide a voice for many women who feel marginalised in our communities including those from an ethic minority backgrounds, trans women, lesbians, women with disabilities and those women who care for others.
We would like to invite you or your organisation to take part in the first stage of this commission to identify, share and discuss the priorities, which the commission will consider over the following 12 months.
Please note this a re-run of the previous event in November as this event was fully booked and we wanted to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get involved.
If you would like further information about this event please contact Anne-Marie Marshall on Annemarie.marshall@salfordcvs.co.uk
This event is open to anyone who identifies as a women living or working in Salford
