The charity sector is becoming increasingly vulnerable to cyber fraud. 22% of charities reported a cyber-attack or breach over the last 12 months and the average cost to a charity of a cybersecurity breach has been calculated to be around £1,030. However, more alarmingly, it is estimated that the percentage of organisations who do not realise they have been targeted is much, much higher.
Cybercriminals will often target smaller organisations who think they are too small to attract attention and so have no basic security procedures in place at all.
So, time to do something about it!
This training session will cover:
- What is cyber security and what are the main threats that voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations face
- Look at some basic steps you can do to protect your organisations
- What to do when things go wrong
