Child Safeguarding Training for the VCSE Sector

Due to the nature of the course only register if you are able to attend both modules. A certificate of attendance will only be issued if both modules are attended.

 

Aim of Session

To give workers in the voluntary and community sector a basic yet effective awareness of how to adequately safeguard and protect children. 

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending the 2 half day oline sessions  learners will achieve the following Learning outcomes  :

LO1 To consider the current context of Working Together to Safeguard Children

LO2 To understand that each agency shares a common goal, and to reflect on your own responsibility

LO3 To increase knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy, and procedure of safeguarding children

LO 4 To understand the importance of recording information, and how to make a referral

LO5 To understand the impact of working with trauma on practitioners and the importance of self care

Target Audience

Staff and volunteers working in the VCSE sector who provide support, information advice and guidance or activities to adults on a regular basis. 

This session will take place via Zoom and a link will be sent out a few days prior to the meeting with instructions
