Social Accounting & Audit - Auditor Workshop

The one day Social Auditor Workshops are aimed specifically at those people wishing to become SAN approved Social Auditors. Participants should have sound prior knowledge and/or experience of the social accounting and audit process either by having used it for their own or another organisation or by having attended one of SAN's two-day master-classes or similar SAN recognised training. The cost of the Social Auditor workshop is £150.

The Workshop will include:

  • Explore why the verification of social accounts is required: To introduce the Social Auditors Handbook; To provide an overview of the Social Audit Panel
  • Explore what should be included in social accounts
  • Introduce the Social Audit Panel Process (Standard) – Preparation for the Panel
  • Introduce the Social Audit Panel Process (Standard) – the Panel Meeting; Consider the Social Audit Panel Meeting
  • Introduce the Social Audit Panel Process - After the panel meeting
  • Consider Social Audit Panel notes; To review the role of Panel Chairs and quality assurance
  • To understand how to become a SAN approved social auditor

All participants should bring a laptop (with Adobe Acrobat) or have access to a computer. The workshop will build in time for learning about other social accounting tools, browsing the Manual and CD and for reading resource materials.
