Adult Safeguarding Basic Awareness Course

The aim of this course is:

To give workers in the voluntary and community sector a basic yet effective awareness of how to adequately safeguard vulnerable adults.

Through attending the course participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Increase their knowledge of adult safeguarding issues
  • Increase their knowledge regarding making a referral
  • Explore how to access guidance, support and useful resources
  • Explore issues around service user participation

This course has recently been updated to reflect the implementation of the new Care Act.

The course will be delivered by trainers from the voluntary and community sector in Salford with experience of working with vulnerable adults.

Please note 1pm prompt start.

Light refreshments will be available, however lunch is not provided.

Please note that road parking should be available around the venue as the course is being held outside of University term time.
