Tackling Poverty in Salford – VCSE workshop

Registration is closed for this event

Monday 23rd October, 1.30 – 4.30

Salford Lads and Girls Club, Coronation Street, Salford, M5 3RX

‘Come and share what your organisation is doing to tackle poverty in Salford’

Earlier this year the Salford City Mayor and Salford Youth Mayor launched their joint strategy, entitled, No One Left Behind: Tackling Poverty in Salford’

This strategy had input from a range of partners, such as the council, housing providers and some VCSE reps, including CVS, Salford Citizens Advice and Salford Credit Union.

We now need YOUR HELP to capture all that our sector is doing to tackle poverty in Salford – so whether you are a voluntary organisation such as a charity, a local community group, or a social enterprise – if you are helping in the fight against poverty (food, shelter, housing, homelessness, furniture, clothes, advice, and more) then we really want you to come along and help us:

  • map what is happening already
  • identify gaps and work out what to do about them
  • agree some quick wins as well as longer-term ambitions
  • explore further partnership working
  • create a new tackling poverty alliance for Salford – open to ALL

Please book here if you are able to attend (max. 2 people per organisation please).
