Support the NHS and others learn from your community-led stories, experiences and observations
New NHS Alliance is delivering a project supported by The Health Foundation that seeks to answer:
'How can the NHS work with mobilised communities to increase prevention and health creation? Learnings from COVID-19.'
Anyone can complete the questionnaire including healthcare professionals, residents, carers, charities, local businesses and of course community organisations. You don't have to have been involved in the activity, you may have just seen people doing great things.
The project aims to:
- Uncover and capture stories from those working actively in communities that show what happens behind the scenes, as well as the benefit and impact of community-led approaches
- Understand what sparks the passion that mobilises communities to self-organise towards common goals, draw on community strengths and take a lead on issues that matter to them
- Explain, make sense of and increase the profile of community mobilisation while it is happening and visible through the COVID-19 response so that it is better understood as a health creating process for achieving the things that matter most to a community
- Identify the implications for NHS systems and practice towards enabling, and sustaining community-led health creation beyond COVID-19
