Action Together are recruiting a full time Community Wellbeing Projects Coordinator to deliver a number of projects that further the aims of our Community Wellbeing Programme.

The Role

You will, develop, deliver monitor, communicate, and evaluate all aspects of the projects you are responsible for, flexibly, creatively and in-line with agreed time and resource constraints working in partnership with our managers and staff, our public sector colleagues, and commissioners, our clients and VCFSE members.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role:

Deliver key projects identified between the managers and commissioners of our Community Wellbeing programme, and the Strategic Locality Lead for Tameside.

  • Managing a variety of complex projects from start to finish, in line with our values, and agreed time and resource constraints that further the work of the Community Wellbeing Programme.
  • Identify the key stakeholders internally and externally to support your work and will engage and collaborate with them to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Identify and seek resources that help achieve your project aims.
  • Establish and implement systems and processes to record, monitor, communicate and evaluate your work and meet our contractual obligations.
  • Provide quality reports, presentations, and verbal updates to a variety of stakeholders internally and externally as required.
  • Assist the management team to prepare bids and grant proposals.
  • Work collaboratively to support the wider work of the team at Action Together.
  • Championing the role of the VCFSE, and local communities in all you do.
  • Be an active partner, representing Action Together in planning and delivery structures as required and create a positive, solution focussed partnership working environment in line with Action Together’s values.
  • Deputise for the management team as required.
  • Identify opportunities for Action Together and VCFSE to secure resources and contribute to better outcome for local people.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who:

  • Is a skilled and experienced project manager.
  • Is driven by social justice and has an in-depth understanding of the VCFSE.
  • Has great interpersonal skills and can foster and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Is an experienced line manager who can coach people to reach their full potential. 
  • Is a skilled influencer who can operate within partnerships and bring solutions.
  • Is an excellent communicator in person; in writing and effective in producing reports ad presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Is outcomes driven and able to flex and prioritise to meet agreed commitments.
