During these unprecedented times Europia is offerings bespoke support for Polish community members aged over 50 in Greater Manchester.
Since 27th April Europia have been offering regular chat sessions for the most isolated Polish community members aged over 50. Their aim is to be a friendly voice who can listen to what they have to share. They want to make sure that they do not feel alone. Sometimes even when they have family members there may be certain issues that they cannot discuss with them. Europia's friendly service will be run in a culturally appropriate manner in Polish. All of our staff and volunteers can speak fluent Polish and English.
This project includes a friendly chat with Europia and Europia Art Collective staff and volunteers. They will then signpost as required to their internal services like EUSS support, Legal Surgery, Welfare Advice, Hate Crime reporting, Europia Emergency Fund, etc.* Europia can help provide access to local services like food banks, contact with housing associations, local councils and more.
Contact 0161 826 3177 and leave a message with your name and preferred time for contact. The phone line is open from 10am - 2 pm, Monday - Thursday. Join Europia's group on Facebook to communicate with Europia and others, share your thoughts or just to get to know others. Alternatively, you can always email 50@europia.org.uk with any enquires. Europia also sends weekly texts in Polish with useful Covid-19 resources and information about our services. (click here to register to our text service)
