North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has curated a list of mental health apps.
The resource features apps that can help with anxiety, low mood and depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, sleep, relaxation and general wellbeing.
The list contains over 30 free apps, some with in-app purchases, and the majority are suitable for younger people as well as adults.
The apps include:
- MindShfit - helping with reflection and tools to face anxiety
- My Possible Self - has simple learning modules to help you take control of your thoughts and feelings
- Daylio - mood tracker to help you identify patterns of behaviour
- Uplift - interactive sessions including mental exercises
- Calm Halm - help to manage or resist the urge to self-harm with 1 to 15-minute distraction activities
- Stay Alive - suicide prevention app with a Lifebox feature containing things that are significant and important to the user
