
BreathChamps CIC to host an online session to help get lungs in shape after lockdown
The session will be hosted by BreathChamps founder, Heather Henry, Queen's Nurse. Heather has asthma and will talk with the session participants about how they are feeling and also about the benefits of getting lungs back into shape, otherwise known as pulmonary rehabilitation. Participants are asked to send their thoughts, concerns or successes by messaging BreathChamps on Facebook prior to the event.
Carol Liddle, patient representative on the UK Taskforce for Lung Health, the National COPD and Asthma Audit and active British Lung Foundation Patient by Experience Representative, will also talk about what is happening nationally in regards to lung health, and also her own experiences about life in lockdown and coping with breathing issues.
The event will take place on 24 August at 10.00am and will be a free half-hour chat.
