NCB has been supporting a group of children and young people to plan a campaign calling on the Chancellor to put all babies, children and young people at the heart of the government’s spending decisions.
They have now launched the first strand of this campaign, which involves asking all children and young people, and the parents of babies and very young children, to join this campaign by
- Signing an open letter to the Chancellor and adding in what they want the government to prioritise in the Spending Review;
- Sharing the letter with other children, young people and parents.
How you can help
United, we can send a clear message to the Chancellor to put children and young people at the heart of the spending review. We hope you will support us by:
- Sending a link to the open letter to the children, young people and parents you work with and asking them if they want to sign up;
- Promoting the campaign on social media;
- Signing your organisation up as a ‘supporter of the campaign’ – please email me by 22 September to confirm that your organisation would like to sign up.
You can find all the resources you will need, including social media copy, graphics and videos in this Google Drive folder.
On Thursday 24 September, the day the spending review consultation closes, the letter and signatures will be submitted to the Treasury and we will be asking children, young people and the organisations that represent them to use social media to tell the Chancellor he must listen to what they have said.
