Do you live or work in Burnage, Longsight, Moss Side, Levenshulme, Salford, Bury, or Bolton?
Would you like to:
- Share knowledge about your community?
- Develop your understanding of issues of hateful extremism, prejudice, and discrimination?
- Enhance skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution?
In partnership with the RADEQUAL campaign, we’re facilitating a series of workshops for community members, exploring topics related to conflict, hate, prejudice, and extremism; how communities can respond; and the skills and techniques you can use to do so.
The RadEqual campaign is Greater Manchester’s response to building community resilience to prejudice, hate, and extremism.
Get involved by choosing the session or sessions you would like to attend. They’re all online and free – join in from home! For more information on the workshops and to join in, follow the Eventbrite registration links below.
Workshops are run on Thursdays, 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
The first three workshops have already been held but you can join future sessions:
25 February – Workshop 4: Focus on ‘hate’ and the ‘extreme’ right. How do we define these terms? What does it mean for our communities? What happens when political opinions lead to the promotion of hatred – and what is the best response?

4 March – Workshop 5: What about extremism ‘online’? Have you ever seen something hateful or offensive online or on social media? This session looks at how extremists use online spaces and platforms – and positive steps we can take when we are online.

11 March – Workshop 6: Do it yourself! How to organise a community dialogue event for your local group or residents in your neighbourhood. Tips and techniques to get people talking. How to hold a constructive discussion on controversial issues.
