The Healthy Start Voucher Scheme is an NHS initiative which can offer support for families in receipt of benefits.
This is a means-tested scheme for pregnant women or parents who have a child under 4 years old.
The vouchers are provided on a weekly basis and can be used to buy milk, fresh, frozen, and tinned fruit and vegetables, fresh, dried, and tinned pulses, and infant formula milk. The scheme can also provide access to free vitamins.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the validity of the Healthy Start vouchers has been extended by 4 weeks, giving those in receipt of the vouchers 12 weeks to use them.
