Getting a COVID test
For people with symptoms
Salford City Council have produced a page to answer common questions around booking a COVID test. Please share this link with the people you work with or support, it explains how to book a test, where testing centres are in Salford, what to expect and home testing. Visit the COVID test webapge.
For people who have no symptoms of Covid
In Salford, people who cannot stay at home for work purposes are invited for rapid testing twice a week. Tests are free and need to be booked in advance online. Please share this link with the people you work with or support.
Adults in households, or support/childcare bubbles, with primary, secondary and college-age children and young people to have rapid tests twice a week. Please share this information on testing for households/bubbles of pupils, students and staff of schools and colleges.
COVID vaccination
A comms pack has been produced by the department of culture, media and sport to support you in sharing and disseminating information about COVID-19 vaccines through your networks.

NHS Salford CCG has produced some short films to debunk some myths and explain why having the COVID-19 vaccine is the safest, most effective way to tackle the virus:

Local health organisations, including @SalfordCCG, @SalfordRoyalNHS and @NCAlliance_NHS are sharing facts about vaccines on their social media channels. The facts include how vaccines work, what they contain and the most common side effects.

COVID vaccination and Blood Clotting
Public Health England has updated their guidance around vaccinations in regards to recent worries about rare cases of blood clotting connected to the AstraZenica Vaccine.

COVID vaccination and Ramadan
The British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) have produced an FAQ for Muslim communities regarding fasting and Covid-19 vaccinations.
They have also produced a graphic you can share on social media, which shares the key message that taking the Covid-19 vaccination does not invalidate the fast during Ramadan.
The Muslim Council for Britain have published guidance for a safe Ramadan for mosque leaders and organisers of taraweeh, i’itikaf and other Ramadan activities to help in their planning for Ramadan this year to keep their communities as safe as possible.
