Our member Langworthy Cornerstone Association is a local charity that manages Langworthy Cornerstone community centre in the Seedley and Langworthy area of Salford.
The centre hosts and provides a wide range of services and activities for the local community and their main purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Salford, especially those of Seedley and Langworthy.
During the pandemic, Langworthy Cornerstone started a Covid Diary to capture what day to day life was like. The diary includes the thoughts of staff, the impact of lockdown, adaptations to working, and quotes and stats that reflect the work the cornerstone did to support their community.
The diary begins on the 23 March and is a really insightful and compelling read. It runs right up until the beginning of October and is a fantastic snapshot of the response of Langworthy Cornerstone, alongside other local VCSE organisations, to coronavirus in Salford.
