LGBT+ History Month is an annual celebration, held throughout February, that provides education and insight into the issues that the LGBT+ community faces.
The overall aim of LGBT+ History month is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public. One of the main focusses is to teach young people about the history of the gay rights movement and to promote an inclusive modern society.
Lots of teaching resources are available from the LGBT+ History website and The Proud Trust in conjunction with Schools OUT have put together an education pack.
This year's theme is body, mind and spirit, resources exploring this theme including logos, posters and packs are available here.
