
Mini Health Checks are available to Salford front line key workers and volunteers.
The checks are carried out at Pendleton and Eccles Gateways - both are easily accessible by public transport and have free parking on-site or nearby.
Using a state of the art kiosk, you’ll check your height, weight and blood pressure. The results are confidential to you and delivered within minutes. Members of the Salford Health Improvement Service are on hand to discuss the results if you wish and advise about further support including contacting your GP.
The Health Improvement Service offers free help to stop smoking and/or lose weight, both of which can help reduce blood pressure and save you money. They can also ways to be more active and improve your fitness. Any or all of these can help you improve your health and decrease the risk of complications of catching COVID-19.
Safety first
Appointments are limited to maintain social distancing and allow for careful and thorough cleaning of the kiosk after each use.
Twenty four hours before attending, you will be asked to confirm you have no COVID-19 symptoms. If you feel unwell then please don’t attend – you can always rebook your slot.
Staff on-site will wear PPE and will guide you in and out of the building.
