
Pendleton Together are celebrating Disability Awareness Month by running a free virtual training session on Disability Awareness Training.
Joining the 90 minute session will give you a fresh insight into the world of disability. The session is suitable for everyone whether you have a disability or not. Those who attend will look at myths around disability and unpick what disability really means for people.
Content includes:
- Introduction and myths
- What is disability?
- Legal Aspects
- Ways we talk and think about disability
- Best practice
The session will be on Microsoft Teams and is lead by experienced deaf facilitator Julie Ryder. If you’re new to Teams or have any access needs please get in touch with Pendleton Together to get support.
