Foundation 92 we are delighted to announce the commencement of their brand new programme Positive Pathways.
This is designed to deliver a person-centred one to one mentoring programme, which is aimed to support and engage with young people aged 16-24 years old who live with SEND and are currently unemployed / economically inactive.
When the individuals are referred into the service, each service user will be provided with a personal mentor and will also have the opportunity to join the “F92 Team”. Through this excellent opportunity, the service users will be presented with a sense of belonging and ability to thrive in a safe and welcoming environment.
Each young person will be supported to create and develop a personal progression with their personal mentor. This plan will identify each of their specific needs and then present them with the next steps required in order to achieve their goals.
Each service user will participate in a blended transition and progression support programme which is delivered within these following settings;
- Albert Park Community Pavilion
- Albert Park 3G Pitch.
- Possibility to work as an outreach in a more familiar setting
- Partner businesses – with direct access to a safe, inclusive and welcoming business environment.
When referred onto the programme, the service user will be offered the opportunity to receive mentoring support and guidance on a one to one basis, for 10 hours a week, over an eight week period, supported by their personal mentor.
All activity will be held in small socially distanced groups of no more than 8 users, and where required on a one to one basis. Sessions will be built around a theme of football with support equally blended scheme of work, which will both be delivered in a physical activity environment and within a group-based classroom environment.
