Join Lloyds Bank Foundation webinar to help you prepare for reopening your charity shops
Thursday 4 June 2020, 14:00 – 15:30 BST
With charity shops preparing to reopen their doors from the 15 June, navigating the practicalities of opening shops is complex. However, thinking through how you can enable your team to return to their roles will ensure they can deliver the measures required and feel valued by your organisation.
This session will be delivered by Jayne Cartwright, Founder & Director of The Charity Retail Consultancy, alongside a restorative practitioner. They will provide you with strategies to cope with the emotional and practical aspects of reopening your shops. It will focus on how you can communicate with your staff and volunteers to bring them with you, rather than jumping straight into the practicalities.
This session will cover:
- How to create a shared safe space to connect, allowing for openness and honesty around thoughts and feelings related to COVID-19 and reopening of your shop(s)
- Why connecting on an individual level is essential during this process
- Ideas around creating a shared plan which feels safe and comfortable for the whole team to support the reopening of your shop(s)
- How to ensure that those who either aren’t able to or choose not to return to shops feel engaged and valued
The session will also include the chance to put questions to our experts and try out resources which will help you in having these conversations with your team.
