Schools across Salford are looking forward to welcoming back pupils this week.
The government expectation is that all children and young people will return to school and they have given guidance to schools to make changes to their buildings and processes to keep everyone safe.
Take a look at these top tips page or watch a short film from Salford City Council to help your child prepare for their return to school. If your child is starting school for the first this September, see our tips for starting school page.
Families need to play their part in keeping everyone safe so please follow the rules and guidelines that schools are putting in place.
This involves:
- not sending your child into school if they are unwell in any way
- not sending your child into school if anyone they live with has tested positive for coronavirus in the last 14 days or is showing symptoms of coronavirus
- following changes such as one-way systems or using different entrances as advised by the school
- encouraging your child to regularly wash their hands throughout the day
If you have any concerns about your child you can speak directly to their school, or check the school’s website for more details on what measures they are putting in place.
