Now is a very exciting time to join Salford’s Safeguarding Children Partnership.

We want children growing up in Salford to be safe, well and their best! To help us achieve this we know that one of the most important things is ensure that EVERYTHING we do is underpinned by child, parental and community feedback, stories and experience.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part time (3 days) role as a participation and listening hub lead for the SSCP. 

The role with be based in Swinton and the post holder will sit at various locations to ensure good partnership working and networking in Salford.

The key elements of the role:

• To support and develop innovative practice across the Partnership to increase, support and monitor participation of children, families, the community and practitioners.

• To lead, develop and co-ordinate mechanisms to elicit feedback from children, young people, the community and families regarding their experience and effectiveness of support across the Partnership.

• To establish a community of practice ‘The Listening Hub’ in order to focus on participation with children, young people, families and communities, to ensure that their needs are understood and effectively supported.

• Implement an existing evidence-based tool kit for listening and direct work and keep tis under continuous development in line with emerging needs.

• Support and embed an asset based and participatory approach to practice, strengthening participation through the facilitation of a knowledge and skills exchange.

• Work in partnership with other to ensure our parental advisor group is impactful

The therefore requires excellent multi agency working and ability to work with parents, carers and children in a respectful and effective manner.
