Donation points

You can donate to local foodbanks via donation points in supermarkets or at designated drop off slots at your local food bank, club or charity.

Please see the information lower down this page for the individual arrangements each organisation has in place for accepting donations. Alternatively, you can contact the organisation directly.

Donate money directly to foodbanks and food clubs

Many food banks and charities have online donation pages. You can provide invaluable support for these front line organisations by making a one-off or recurring donation so they are able to purchase essential provisions in these times of high demand.

Emmaus Salford

Emmaus can accept drop-off donations at their shops during opening hours or for larger items, they offer a free collection service. Please do not leave items for donation outside any of their shops.

Lucie’s Pantry social supermarket is open and you can support the pantry by volunteering or donating goods. Further details here. 

Little Hulton Big Local

Little Hulton Big Local run a Food Club at their hub every Wednesday from 9.30am - 2pm. 

You can support the food club by donating cans, toiletries or dry goods. Donations can be left at the Community Hub 27- 29 Little Hulton District Centre M28 0BA. Contact LHBL on littlehultonbiglocal@yahoo.co.uk or call 0161 790 7072.

Mustard Tree

If donations can fit into a car, Mustard Tree would be grateful if you could drop them off at their hubs during their opening times. For larger food donations, Mustard Tree can arrange a collection – please call 0161 850 2282 or email information@mustardtree.org.uk to arrange. 

Please note that they are currently prioritising essential food items (listed here) over all other donations.

Irlam and Cadishead Foodbank

The team of volunteers will be available to receive food donations at Boundary Road Methodist Church, on Monday afternoons, 2pm - 3pm.
