New local COVID alert levels were announced by government on Monday 12 October.
From 0.01am on Friday, October 23, Greater Manchester (including Salford) will be in the Very High Local Covid Alert Level.
Guidance on these additional restrictions for Greater Manchester can be found on the Salford City Council website and the government website. The graphic here gives a breakdown of what people who live in Salford can and can't do.
There is also new advice that people who are clinically extremely vulnerable must follow.
For the latest figures on coronavirus levels in Salford - head to this new report page on the Salford City Council website. The report is updated weekly and provides the figures for coronavirus cases over time, where and who the cases are and excess deaths.
To stay safe and protect each other we should all be following the 'Hands, Face, Space' guidance. Graphics in a range of formats and languages depicting this key message are available from the Public Health England coronavirus hub.
