SoundUp Arts CIC Music Made Well - a Zoom-based training session teaching how music improves the wellbeing of people living with dementia
SoundUp Arts CIC are partnering with Together Dementia Support and We Love Manchester to provide two 3-hour training sessions aimed at carers, care staff, volunteers, facilitators and artists. The focus of the training is to give fresh ideas around using music to improve the wellbeing of those living with dementia.
The sessions will
- Cover how music can be an effective tool in dementia care
- Help attendees to learn easy-to-use musical activities
- Provide valuable resources
- Build confidence in planning and delivering a music session to those living with dementia
Music Made Well sessions run on Tuesday 6 October 2020 10.00am - 1.00pm and Friday 9 October 2.00pm - 5.00pm.
There is a cost of £40 for the session. However, those who are a carer living or working in Manchester may have the opportunity to claim a funded place on the course.
