
This is an event open to all people living and working within Greater Manchester to have a conversation on tackling racial inequalities and racism in active lives, physical activity and sport.
Agenda
Future strategy: Ensuring that the future GM Moving strategy is relevant to you and to the communities you work with, in all their diversity, and that it goes further to tackle inequalities in Greater Manchester. Greater Sport will share their thinking so far and welcome your feedback on the emerging priorities and approach.
Workforce learning and development: Greater Sport are looking for organisations to help them to grow and develop a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce in Greater Manchester and to widen access and participation in moving more, physical activity and sport. More details of the opportunity and application process will be provided.
Funding for community groups: Information will be provided about how groups can access the Sport England Tackling Inequalities funding Greater Sport has been awarded (of up to £10,000 per group) to support ethnically diverse communities to be active during the pandemic.
