#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of unity in response to Coronavirus.
Held on Tuesday 5th May it is a day where we can all come together to recognise, celebrate and give thanks for the incredible outpouring of compassion we have witnessed during this crisis.
Charities have been at the forefront of this collective action, helping to facilitate and coordinate people’s desire to help. From our Keep in Touch calls we have heard about the amazing work charities are doing in response to COVID-19 in Salford from front line work to supporting the wider wellbeing of their volunteers and beneficiaries. We have heard about how charities are looking after their communities; from Macarena in the street, online choirs and check-in calls to the isolated and bereaved. Read about this in Beatty's blog.
Join in the celebrationsGiving Tuesday Now encourages people to support charities to help make sure they will still be there in the future.
In the run-up to the day, we would encourage you to take part in the coinciding campaign #NeverMoreNeeded, highlighting the vital role charities have in the response and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. As we navigate the worst impacts of the coronavirus outbreak, people across the country are relying on VCSE organisations, the essential support they provide and how they shape our society for the better. Find out more about the #NeverMoreNeeded campaign.
You can use Giving Tuesday Now to thank your fundraisers and supporters, raise awareness of the work you are doing and to generate donations for your charity.
