Before the coronavirus outbreak Tech and Tea, a five-week course, was supporting people aged 65+ to develop their digital skills.
Over the past five years, 260 courses have been delivered and more than 2,000 people have taken part.
The new skills people have learned have proved very useful while they have been staying at home. The older people who have taken the course have been getting online to connect with friends and family, share photos and news, use email and apps such as Zoom.
Now Inspiring Communities Together have teamed up with Salford CVS to launch Tech and Tea Online, providing free weekly online classes aimed at older people. A brand new way to engage with people using their tech at home.
Watch this introductory video, explaining all about the project and what to look forward to in the future.
The free weekly online class are aimed at older people and can be accessed via a weekly Tech and Tea Online e-newsletter.
If you have not done a Tech and Tea course and are therefore not registered, please complete this short online form (select IT courses in the list of enquiry interests) and you will be added to the distribution list to receive details of upcoming classes and access to videos and handy handouts!
