Salford Music Festival will be going digital for its 10th anniversary next weekend (29 - 31 May), with a massive line-up confirmed.
Peter Hook, John Cooper Clarke, and ex-Hacienda heavyweights Graeme Park and Dave Haslam will top the bill of music, poetry and spoken word.
The festival normally takes place in September, but organisers have moved it forward in the calendar to bring some 'much needed cheer'.
Your charity's chance to headline
Ed Blaney, former manager of The Fall and festival organiser wanted to do something to lift the spirits of people in Salford and to thank and celebrate the work of local charities. He said:
"We want to highlight the work of these organisations, and thank them for it. The charity groups have been doing so much good in Salford. t's a really hard time for people so we hope this will take people somewhere else for a weekend, even if it's just partying in their flat or their garden."
They are offering local charities the chance to headline alongside the festival's line up by submitting a 2 - 3 minute video about their work. The videos will be shown on the live stream in between the performances of the fantastic acts.
The videos will showcase the difference your organisation makes to Salford and help charities to reach an anticipated huge audience in Salford and beyond.
Please submit your videos to us, they must be LANDSCAPE (apologies for any confusion this initially said portrait) and ideally a minimum of 2 minutes in length. If possible please send in MP4 format. We don't expect you to produce a new video - we are just looking for something that shows what you do and this can have been filmed before the Covid-19 crisis. Send us your video via WeTransfer to becky.roberts@salfordcvs.co.uk.
Please send your files by Monday 25th May (we know this is a bank holiday but there is a very tight turnaround to get everything ready for the big day!)
