Salford CVS are pleased to host a two-day accredited SROI (Social Return On Investment) training course, 22/23 July 2014

nef developed the SROI (Social Return on Investment) methodology in the UK and now nef consulting offers a wide range of SROI products, including a 2-day SROI training course

• nef consulting’s SROI training is facilitated by two SROI practitioners, and counts towards accreditation as an SROI-network assured practitioner.
• It covers all the methodology and practice needed to carry out an SROI analysis. It combines a thorough understanding of the theoretical policy background to SROI and its long-term benefits, with a step-by-step guide to the SROI methodology backed up by a range of practical group exercises. It is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to use SROI and its findings, and to undertake SROI analyses for themselves.
• All attendees are offered half an hour of free post-training telephone consultancy to guide them through their first SROI analysis.
• Reduced rate consultancy packages are exclusively available to attendees.

 This training session is on 22^nd July and 23^rd July 2014 at Salford CVS premises in Eccles

Course content:

• Introduction: Problems with measurement, measuring and evaluating success, how SROI was developed and examples of how it is used
• Identifying what changes: Identifying material stakeholders, stakeholder engagement, identifying inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes, constructing an impact map
• Measuring and valuing what changes: How to measure change, use of indicators, the concept of value and how to apply financial proxies
• Data collection: Best practice for primary and secondary data collection, useful sources of information
• Identifying impact: Understanding deadweight/counterfactual, displacement, and attribution/credit. How to determine them and calculate them
• Building an economic model: Using collected evidence to construct a model of change, including over time and with discount rates
• Calculations: Completing an excel based SROI outline
• Using, embedding and communicating SROI: How to make the most of an analysis
• Conclusions, Q&A and feedback

The standard price for the course is £575 plus VAT, but this is reduced to £495 plus VAT for registered charities and social enterprises.
