VOCAL Children, Young People & Families Forum
Tuesday 11th January 2022 10.00am - 12.00pm
Theme: Family Hub Partnership Development
Family Hubs are part of the integrated family services. They are centres to ensure that families with children and young people aged 0-19 years receive early help to overcome a range of difficulties and build stronger relationships.
Evidence has shown that early intervention can improve the wellbeing, educational attainment, life chances, engagement in crime, unemployment and other negative outcomes in children and young people.
The government has invested £10million of new funding for Family Hub transformation. Salford has been successful in securing some of this funding to take the Family Hub and Youth Centre model to the next level of development. This exciting new piece of work will be achieved through co-production and participation with communities and families, with a particular focus on VCSE engagement.
At this VOCAL Children, Young People & Families Forum, we will be joined by:
- Kate Berry, Early Help Services Manager for Salford City Council
- Tim Rumley, Senior Youth Work Manager for Salford Youth Service
Kate and Tim will be talking about the plans to take the Family Hub work forward.
This Forum meeting is the chance for you, as providers for children, young people and families, to share how the Family Hub work develops and to receive an update on Family Hub Partnership ambitions. There will also be the opportunity to discuss how the VCSE sector can work together with Salford’s Early Help team to deliver the key priorities in order to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and families within the city.
If you would like to attend, please register. The agenda and Zoom link will be sent out prior to the event.
