How to Lose a Volunteer in 10 Days

Registration is closed for this event

It is important to keep volunteers happy and engaged as they are more likely to give their time and energy if they are supported, treated with respect and genuinely appreciated.

This is a fun and engaging session about the good, the bad and the ugly of volunteer management and how not to lose your volunteer within 10 days.  It will be a combination of training, networking, discussion and sharing of best practice, through a ‘what not to do’ approach, including:

  • Ignoring the Basics
  • Getting Things Wrong from the Start
  • Sink or Swim Approach to Induction
  • Volunteers Should be Seen and Not Heard

Our training course is aimed at Volunteer Managers or Co-ordinators and is free for those who work or volunteer with voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that operate in Salford.

Covid-19

Delegates will be required to have taken a Covid-19 rapid lateral flow test up to 24 hours before attending the course. Email or text confirmation of a negative test result will need to be presented on arrival. These measures are subject to change and we will follow local and national Covid guidance.
