Living Wage Week (14-22 November) is the annual celebration of the national Living Wage movement, with events taking place up and down the country including Salford the UK's first Living Wage City!
Join Mustard Tree, Loaves & Fishes and ourselves for a fabulous Lunch Event to celebrate Living Wage Week and the importance of paying the Real Living Wage during this Cost of Living crisis. Ultimately ensuring that 'a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay’.
Our event will explore:
- Ongoing progress that Salford is making as England’s first city working to become a truly Living Wage Place
- Find out more about being a Living Wage Employer and the broader benefits it makes to an organisation. As well as the difference paying the real Living Wage makes to people and organisations in our city.
- An introduction to the Living Hours Campaign and how it connects to the Living Wage.
The event is a great opportunity to learn more about the practical implications of being a living wage employer as well as a fantastic opportunity to network over (a vegetarian) lunch provided by HM Pasties.
