Safeguarding Spotlight: Cuckooing

The aim of the session is to shine a spotlight on the topic of cuckooing from the perspective of both the child and adult victims, and the services that support both

Learning Outcomes 

  1. Improved understanding of what cuckooing is 

  1. Improved understanding of who might be exploited 

  1. Increased awareness of the signs of cuckooing 

  1. Improved understanding of how to report cuckooing 

Target Audience 

Staff and volunteers working in the VCSE sector with children and young people, particularly those at risk of criminal exploitation, or adults at risk of harm, particularly those who may be isolated in the community.
