Vocal Environment Network

Our next Vocal Environment Network meeting will take place on:

Date: Monday 24th March

Time: 9.45am - 12.00pm

Location: Recycle for GM Renew Hub, Nash Road, Trafford Park, M17 1SX

The Network meeting will be held at the Recycle for GM Hub in Trafford Park. We will tour the premises and see how they sort the waste stream, recycle, and repurpose items such as furniture, white goods, electricals, toys,bikes, etc.

Important information

Clothing and footwear:

• We must stress that it is essential that all visitors arrive with suitable footwear and clothing for an industrial site visit. There are parts of the full tour that require you to wear steel-toe-capped safety shoes, so if you have them, please wear steel-toe-capped safety shoes / boots. If you do not have them, we may have some that can be borrowed. (Please bring your own socks). Alternative tour accommodating people without steel-toe-capped boots will be possible. Good, strong sensible shoes / walking boots /trainers are recommended.  
• Legs must also be covered, preferably by trousers but leggings or similar are acceptable.  Anyone unsuitably dressed will not be allowed on the site tour. 
• The Renew Hub is housed within a very large unheated building. It can get very cold in the winter months. Please dress warmly.  
• Any other required PPE will be given. High Visibility vest and hearing equipment will be used as necessary.

Access:

• We will be walking and climbing stairs as part of the tour so please let us know if this would be an issue for anyone in the party. Please contact us to discuss other access requirements such as walking aids, wheelchair users etc so that alternative provision to the tour and activities can be made.
