Safeguarding Spotlight on Managing Allegations Against Staff/Volunteers

In 2025, Salford Safeguarding Adults Board updated the process by which concerns regarding the conduct of staff/volunteers working with adults at risk are reported to Adult Social Care. In response, we have developed a short, online training session that explains both this Persons in a Position of Trust (PiPoT) and the equivalent LADO process for organisations that work with children.

Aim: for staff responsible for managing people in the VCSE sector to understand their responsibility to report behaviours of concern.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Improved understanding of behaviours of concern
  • Improved understanding of who the PiPoT and LADO processes apply to
  • Improved understanding of the importance of reporting concerns
  • Improved awareness of the reporting procedures
