An introduction to Volunteer Management for Community Groups

The aim of this course is
To help you to understand Best Practice in Volunteer Management. We will look at the 5 stages needed to create a successful Volunteer Programme:-  Planning; Recruiting; Supporting, Developing & Evaluating.

This course will help you to
• Create a high quality Volunteer Programme
• Develop your volunteering opportunities
• Explore tried and tested methods to attract and retain a diverse group of volunteers
• Keep your volunteers motivated
• Evaluate your success

Who should attend?
Anyone from a Community or Voluntary group new to Volunteer Management or those wanting to refresh their knowledge and practice.

How to book
To book a place simply click the ‘Register Now’ button that appears at the bottom of this page. You will immediately receive an email to confirm your booking on the course and an invoice will be issued.

If there is high demand for a course we may not be able to accept all members of multiple bookings so that as many organisations as possible can access the training. If  this is the case, you will be contacted by a member of staff at least a week before the course date.

A cancellation fee will be charged for non-attendance or cancellations. You may delegate a colleague to attend in your place, in this case you will not be charged a cancellation fee. Details of cancellation fees can be found here.

Trainer profile
This training will be led by members of Salford Volunteer Centre and trainers from Salford CVS.

Assessment and certification
A certificate of attendance will be awarded to each course participant on completion of all course paperwork.

Band E - Any third sector non-CVS Member and Statutory/Public Sector £142.20
