we are a sheltered scheme within Pendleton, Salford (over55's). we have a craft group who want to produce hand made goods for personal use and for sale. we hold fayres, raffles and fund raising events. as a start up craft group, the residents have been purchasing a number of items themselves to get started. they have made some macrame hanging baskets and have received lots of positive feedback which is very encouraging. ongoing the group would like to make decorations for there homes and for the community rooms. in the future, they would like to recreate the craft groups throughout Pendleton at the other high rise blocks and would require suppourt with funding to enable this to happen.
we would like to be able to become self sufficent by making crafted items and selling them, putting the money back into buying more materials to do crafts with.
