Organisation description: Salford City Radio is salford's local community radio station, broadcasting for 10 years now on 94.4FM and online via our website. We aim to be the voice of Salford, bringing Salford residents, community groups / organisations and local business' together to talk about what they do and how we can help. We have over 80 shows a week to cater for a wide audience, from 60s music shows to Community safety shows.
We currently have 92 volunteer members, who all produce, edit and present their own radio shows, we invite members of the community into the station to talk about what they do to help the Salford Community. We promote everything that is Salford, whether its a group, organisation or individual.
As well as providing a service to residents of Salford, we also support our many volunteers by providing Radio broadcast training, support and advice, confidence building and team work.
