Organisation description: Bright Road Youth & Community Centre is a volunteer run organisation, non-discriminatory in regard to age, gender, ethnicity and religion. The aims of the Group are social inclusion and well-being for all members. Group activities take place mainly on Mondays when a nourishing two course lunch is provided from our kitchen for up to 30 people. This is followed by followed in the afternoon by games, arts and crafts of choice and socialising all in a safe environment. Choral singing of popular songs also takes place under the direction of a trained tutor. Tea & coffee are available at all times. Coach trips to popular destinations are arranged for the Group and wider community 3-5 times, spread throughout the year. Social and bereavement counselling are available from trained counsellors.
The Group is basically self funded from donations, relying on grants to fund particular activities.
