Organisation description: The ADHD Foundation , is a Liverpool based charity and is the largest patient led ADHD organisation in the UK, providing therapeutic services and collaborating with other agencies to influence policy and provision for those living with and affected by ADHD . The Foundation is a commission ready charity that currently supports over 2000 families a year and is the only agency in the UK offering a multi modal ADHD pathway as recommended by NICE . The support and services we plan to offer across the City of Salford offer a unique ' Life Span 'approach - to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people , families and adults diagnosed with ADHD . Initially we plan to bring a Parents Skill Building course to Salford , which will be followed by the desire to lead , innovate and expand across the city and wider GM community underpinned by the following strategic aims and values:
Deliver an innovative evidence based and cost effective multi modal interventions for ADHD to improve inclusion in health , education and employability.
Initiate multi agency approaches to support transition at key stages.
Support the development of social care , health and educational services for children and young people, enabling them to achieve their personal and academic potential.
Collaborate effectively with all relevant city wide stakeholders and interested parties .
Influence ways of working within social care , health , education , voluntary and corporate settings as ADHD Foundation Salford works to continuously improve outcomes for all affected by ADHD.
Challenge stigma and improve understanding of ADHD to ensure life chances for those living with ADHD , and their families and carers .
