Organisation description: We are a self-funded local sewing group of around 12 people – currently ladies although we are open to anyone. Our ages range from 33 years old to 70.
We sew and chat amongst the group and one week in four we make things to sell to put back into the group funds. There are mental health issues, caring responsibilities, amongst other issues in the group which we are try to support and we are keen to promote social inclusion.
We recently agreed to volunteer to do sewing repairs one Saturday a month on a rota at a new community repair café starting from October 2018.
